Haarlem, The Netherlands – 13 July 2010 – After the recent release of the Lovecraft inspired adventure game for PC 'Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage', publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Zoetrope Interactive today release a patch.

Darkness Within is a series of adventure games inspired by famous horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. In "The Dark Lineage", the second installment of the Darkness Within series, players again take the role of police detective Howard Loreid, who suffered from the paranormal happenings around him in the first volume “In Pursuit of Loath Nolder”. Now, Howard discovers that his own horrible past is connected with the madness that is about to swallow him. This second volume will see the Darkness Within saga come to its conclusion. The Dark Lineage will take you to places where the "things" of the past still live, and all the memories that should be long-forgotten are still remembered; including a drowsy, depressive town called Arkhamend, a Victorian mansion that hides a lot of horrible secrets, a dilapidated building inside notorious, snow-clad woods and dim underground buildings and tunnels. The Dark Lineage is even more frightening and stronger than the previous installment so prepare yourself for the descending darkness, this time it will be ultimate.

Haarlem, The Netherlands – 31 May 2010 – Premier videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive and Zoetrope Interactive are proud to announce that the horror adventure game for PC Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage, is now available at all major UK retailers and good independent
game shops, as well as in several other European territories such as Belgium and Scandinavia.
The Iceberg webshop (here) also has stock for worldwide delivery and has shipped out all pre-orders last week. Iceberg direct download partners such as Gamersgate, Impulse and Adventureshop are also ‘live’ since last Friday. The German and French localized releases for the game will take place by mid June 2010, distributed by Koch and Mohican respectively.

Iceberg Interactive releases Pack Shot for Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage

In anticipation of the upcoming release of Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage, publisher Iceberg Interactive today reveals the final pack shot of the game. Featured on the pack shot is main character Howard Loreid, haunted and tormented by an inner demon.
The Dark Lineage is the second and final instalment of the Darkness Within series, inspired by famous horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. The game is set to be released 21 May 2010 in the UK, with localized versions following in June across the rest of Europe.

Acquires Publishing Rights for
Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage

Recently formed videogame publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Zoetrope Interactive are delighted to announce the signing of the publishing rights to Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage, a ‘Lovecraftian’-style adventure game for the PC platform. The rights acquired are for Europe (including Russia, but with the exception of Turkey, Spain and Italy). The game is set for release in Q1-2010.
In the same deal, Iceberg Interactive also acquired the rights for the first instalment Darkness Within1: In Pursuit of Loath Nolder for the same territories, for immediate re-release at a budget price point. Both games will be bundled in the future as well. With the signing of the Darkness Within franchise Iceberg Interactive expands its rapidly growing portfolio of games.
While keeping the same Lovecraftian style of eerie storytelling, the varied and dynamic puzzles and the unique ‘thinking screen’, Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage will provide an upgrade with graphics now in full 3D and a longer playing time.
